This 3-year study programme immerses you in the world of communication strategy, exploring the latest digital trends, social media management, graphic design, as well as audiovisual and multimedia content design. Right from Year 1, you'll be working on real-life projects alongside leading professionals, and in Year 3, you can specialise in 360º Communication or Visual Design. This programme is the first Bachelor in Communication in France to be awarded a State VISA!

To join our Bachelor programme, you need to have a high-school qualification (or international equivalent) and pass the entrance test: application and interview. You can also directly join the programme in Year 2 or Year 3 if you have successfully validated 1 or 2 years, respectively, of higher education. Workshops
These workshops provide you with the opportunity to put your technical knowledge and skills into practice, and to develop your interpersonal skills whilst tackling a business challenge. The aim is to benefit from practical experience, whilst developing group cohesion and autonomy, essential for any professional career. Among others, Excelia Communication School has already collaborated with Le Chantier des Francos, Le Festival du Cinéma de La Rochelle, Bovinext, the MM Festival, 15marches, Games Partners, and La Proue.
Discovery Tour
The Discovery Tour is an opportunity to discover the world of communication and design, with company visits and discussions with industry professionals… raising your awareness of the exciting professions, vibrant industries, and inspiring artistic media that shape our region!
Hum Internships: 7 months of experience (depending on chosen specialisation)acité© and Climacité© projects (2 months)
Carrying out company-based internships, in France or abroad, is one of the compulsory parts of the Bachelor programme. By the end of your studies, you will have acquired 7 months of professional experience in addition to the 12-month work-study period in your final year.
Explore Tour, Experience Tour et Crea Tour
In Years 1 and 2, you have the opportunity to visit companies. The aim is to enable you to leave the school premises and experience a new environment, working with recognised players in the field of communication.
Studio Week
On the premises of one of our partners, you work in communication studio mode on a series of projects for local companies. In previous years, students worked in the Centre Intermondes (an impressive 19th century building used as the venue for international artists in residence) and the Maison des Écritures (another international residency venue, dedicated to all forms of contemporary creative work, from screenplays and choreography to literature and digital media), Les Cabanes Urbaines (a third place in La Rochelle), and Le Village by CA (a business incubator and network facility).
Agency Challenge
This educational initiative takes the form of a competition between fictitious communication agencies, and provides you with an opportunity to tackle a real-life issue linked to a company. In previous years, students have worked with the Stade Rochelais, La Sirène and La Rochelle Tourist Office.
Consultancy Project
This project gives you the opportunity to act as a consultant, working on a specific theme or issue for one of our partner companies. Past projects involved students developing proposals for Ullo World, Baseball TV France and AGON.
Humacité© and Climacité© projects (2 months)
In Year 2, you will undertake a social, humanitarian or civic voluntary project in an NGO or an association, either in France or abroad. This is one of the unique features of Excelia, which is committed to educating students to become responsible citizens, fully conscious of the importance of their role in society.

You have the possibility of getting involved in one of Excelia’s 50 clubs and associations, enabling you to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and professionally-oriented environment. In addition, it is a great way to settle into school life and experience something unique.

Continuing your studies after the Bachelor in communication
Choosing a Master programme
Pursuing a Master after a Bachelor in communication will offer you many opportunities. You will deepen your knowledge, acquire extra skills and further specialise in a specific area of communication.
A Master in communication is the equivalent of 5 years of higher education and is accessible after a 3-year qualification such as a Bachelor in communication. The programme generally lasts two years, which is divided into four semesters.
Lessons will have a strong professional focus and may be theoretical or practical. Depending on your career plans, you can choose from a variety of specialisations such as Influencing Strategy, Visual Design, Social Media, New Realities, Events Strategy, Audiovisual Production, Digital Marketing, etc.
Masters available after a Bachelor in communication
There are a number of options available to Bachelor in communication graduates who wish to pursue their studies with a Master. As the Bachelor is State-accredited and RNCP-certified, students who wish to do so can continue their studies at Master level to obtain a 5-year higher education qualification.
